Chandigarh, December 6. Notice was issued by the High Court to Punjab State, Center and UT authorities on a petition filed by Tata Camelot that the land proposed for housing development use did not violate existing environmental requirements as Kansal village was not intended to be the catchment area for Sukhna lake and water does not flow from Kansal to Sukhna as it is situated almost 2 Km. away.

Tata Camelot, a housing development project, has propsed land use in Kansal to raise apartments.

The case is scheduled for hearing on the 18th of December
